School Closure Dates, Tuition Notice, Lessons, & Church Activities

Parents –
Acting upon advice from Bexar County and school leaders there, we will be following San Antonio area schools in furthering our school closure and home-based learning through April 3.  Many students, families, and staff live and are schooled inside these districts and areas, and we want to continue to do what we believe is best for our families, faculty, and community.

During the week of March 30, we will make decisions on any further closures or delays.  (We believe that Boerne ISD could potentially make this decision by Friday as well.)

Starting Monday, teachers will be sending home based lessons and ideas to keep your children busy learning throughout our time at home.  You should receive these lessons via email at the beginning of each week we are out.  Kinder, please read your emails very carefully, as they will outline the “mandatory” work to complete for credit.  They will be checking in as well, and you are always encouraged to reach out to any of us with questions, concerns, and prayer requests.

We post many things on Facebook, including chapel, so if you do not follow Messiah’s Kids Preschool, please join us.

Consider A Donation

Regardless of our return to school, there will be NO APRIL TUITION.  When/If we return, we will update all families on May tuition expectations.  We will continue to pay all Messiah’s Kids Preschool staff and faculty during this time.  If you would like to donate toward the school for any reason, you may do so through MyProcare.com using a credit card (be sure to designate what the donation is being made to); or via the PayPal link below.

Church Updates

In addition, Messiah Lutheran Church will not be having church services currently, Palm Sunday’s breakfast (Shouting Rock) has been cancelled, and Easter Jubilee on Saturday, April 10 will be postponed until later this calendar year.  As we have more updates on when church services will return and when events are rescheduled, we will update this information on Facebook.

Please continue to pray with us that this pandemic is under wraps soon, and we can continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
